Competencies

There are three different competencies graduates of Geodetic Engineering Study Program of Itenas are hoped to possess. Those are Main Competencies, Supporting Competencies, and Other Competencies :
1. The Main Competencies comprise of :
  a) The ability to do terrestrial survey and mapping comprising the stages of planning, obtaining, processing and presenting data.
  b) The ability to do hidrographic survey and mapping comprising the stages of planning, obtaining, processing and presenting data.
  c) The ability to do mapping using photogrammetry as well as remote sensing technique comprising the stages of planning, obtaining, processing and presenting data.
  d) The ability to develop geographic information system comprising system design, database development as well as analysis and modeling.
  e) The ability to identify, formulate as well as resolve constraints possibly appearing in conducting survey and mapping.
  f) The ability to identify, formulate as well as resolve constraints possibly appearing in developing GIS.
  g) The ability to adapt to new technology required in conducting survey and mapping as well as developing GIS.
2. The Supporting Competencies comprise of :
  a) The ability to communicate effectively both in spoken and written
  b) The ability to manage available resources to perform work
3. Other Competencies comprise of :
  a) The ability to conduct self development through the process of lifelong learning
  b) The ability to be entrepreneurs
  c) The ability to play the role as geodetic experts who care of the environment, rules, law as well as professional ethics
