Bandung, October 2, 2026. Institut Teknologi Nasional (Itenas) Bandung officially welcomed a delegation of international students during the Itenas International Student Mobility Program - Welcome Ceremony 2026. The warm reception took place at the Itenas Rectorate Building.

This year’s international student mobility program features participants from three countries: Thailand, Russia, and Vietnam. The students will participate in various academic tracks at Itenas, detailed as follows:

• Darmasiswa Program (Thailand, Thammasat University): Ms. Kwanchanok Saithongkham

• Non-Degree Program (Russia, RUDN University): Ms. Valeria Bespalova and Ms. Diana Fortuna

• Student Exchange Program (Vietnam, Can Tho University): Mr. Huynh Long Giang, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hau, Mr. Phan Minh Tan, Mr. Chau The Anh, and Mr. Huynh Quang Minh

Under the Indonesian Darmasiswa Program, the international student will pursue studies for 10 months, while non-degree program participants will undertake academic activities for one semester. Meanwhile, for the Student Exchange Program, the arrival of the five Vietnamese students marks the second-year implementation of bilateral cooperation between Itenas Bandung and Can Tho University. This exchange follows the departure of six Itenas students who left for Vietnam the previous week to participate in a similar exchange program.

The welcome ceremony was attended directly by the Rector of Itenas, Prof. Ir. Meilinda Nurbanasari, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., accompanied by the Vice Rector for Planning, Innovation, and Cooperation, Dani Rusirawan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. Also present were faculty leaders, including Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) Jono Suhartono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.; Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design (FAD) Rosa Karnita, S.Sn., M.Sn., Ph.D.; and representatives from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP), led by Head of the Environmental Engineering Study Program Ir. Rachmawati Sugihhartati, Ph.D. Head of the Visual Communication Design (DKV) Study Program Aditya Januarsa, S.Ds., M.Ds. was also in attendance. Additionally, the event was attended by the Head of the Bureau of Cooperation, Public Relations, and Marketing (BKHP) Itenas, Dr. Eng. Fitri Suciaty, S.Si., M.Si., and Head of the Cooperation and International Affairs Division at BKHP Itenas, Levita Dwinaya, S.S., M.Pd.

In the welcoming remarks, the Rector of Itenas along with faculty deans expressed high appreciation to the international students, thanking them for choosing Itenas as their primary destination to pursue academic knowledge and explore Indonesia’s rich culture. The students are expected not only to gain valuable academic experience but also to integrate into the campus community, including through active participation in various community service initiatives.

As an initial orientation, the Welcome Ceremony featured a screening of the Itenas profile video, showcasing campus culture, academic dynamics, and modern facilities available on campus. The event concluded with a group photo session featuring Itenas leadership, invited guests, and all international students. Itenas hopes that their presence will serve as a bridge for positive cultural exchange and strengthen the university’s global academic cooperation network in the future. (Public Relations)
