Itenas and SMAN 19 Bandung Signed the MoU for the Academic and New Student Admission Partnership

Institut Teknologi Nasional (Itenas) Bandung signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SMAN 19 Bandung on Tuesday (18/7/2023) in Gedung Rektorat Itenas. The MoU signing was carried out for academic and new student admission partnership activities.
At that ceremonial event, Itenas was represented by Prof. Meilinda Nurbanasari, Ph.D. (Rector), Mr. Dani Rusirawan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Vice Chancellor in Planning, Innovation, and Partnership), Mr. Alfan Ekajati Latief, S.T., M.T. (Head of Student and Alumni Affairs Bureau/BKA), Dr. Eng. Fitri Suciaty, S.Si., M.Si. (Head of Partnership, Public Relations, and Marketing Bureau/BKHP), Mr. Inko Sakti Dewanto, S.T., M.Ds. (Head of Marketing Department of BKHP), Mrs. Levita Dwinaya, S.S., M.Pd. (Head of Itenas International Office), and Fariq Muhajir Wiyandi, S.I.Kom. (Marketing Department Staff of BKHP). Whereas from SMAN 19 Bandung was represented by Mr. Imam Lubisasono, S.Pd.I., M.Pd. (Principal) and Mr. Aep Muttaqin, S.Pd. (Vice Principal in PR Affairs).
In her welcoming remarks, the Rector of Itenas said that the partnership will be an important thing regarding high school graduates being the input of universities (especially Itenas). She also stated that Itenas opens opportunities for SMAN 19 Bandung for joint activities in broader works such as training, utilization of facilities for educational activities, and even sit-ins in all of Itenas’ majors.
“We are hoping that this partnership will not only lead to new students’ admission but also to knowledge-sharing from both parties. We’re also open to information about the development of secondary education provided by SMAN 19 Bandung,” said the Rector of Itenas.
SMAN 19 Bandung’s principal expressed his gratitude because of the gained trust to be Itenas’ partner in academic activities. He said that SMAN 19 Bandung has become one of the “Sekolah Penggerak” in Bandung, and one of its programs is fostering partnerships with institutions for the success of the Merdeka Belajar program.
“We hope that all kinds of activities such as training and apprenticeship programs, insyaAllah, will be welcomed,” he said.
Then the main event, the MoU signing, was carried out and witnessed by both parties. And it continued with the plaque and souvenir handover from Itenas to SMAN 19 Bandung, ending with a group photo session.
Through this partnership, Itenas Bandung will broaden relations with high schools, specifically in Bandung City and West Java Province. This partnership also opens a big opportunity for Itenas to attract new students in the future.
