Itenas Signed the MoU and MoA Regarding the Three Pillars of Higher Education and MBKM Program with Universitas Kuningan

Institut Teknologi Nasional (Itenas) Bandung signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Universitas Kuningan on Wednesday (5/7/2023) in Gedung Rektorat Itenas. The ceremonial signing event was held to begin the partnership on the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi) and the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program.
Itenas which was represented by Prof. Meilinda Nurbanasari, Ph.D. as a rector along with the vice-chancellors, deans, and staff greeted the delegations of Universitas Kuningan (Uniku) with a warm welcome. She hoped that the partnership between the two parties is mutual and can be a place of information exchange about academic or internship activities.
“From this partnership, we hope that we can reach our goal as private universities, especially in education, research, innovation, etc. And now we have the MBKM program. We also hope that this won’t be over in this ceremony, but this can be followed up with the MoA and the Implementation Agreement (IA),” said the Rector of Itenas.
Dr. Dikdik Harjadi, S.E., M.Si. as the rector of Uniku in his remarks said that the partnership can be a means of collaboration and explore experiences from Itenas which is already qualified as a private university in West Java. He also explained that Uniku is planning to establish an Engineering Faculty, so Itenas is chosen to be an exemplary university.
“We also do the best we can in implementing the MBKM program, which can be carried on by partnerships with institutions (universities, industries, etc.),” he said.
The Uniku’s delegations to the event were Dr. Dikdik Harjadi, S.E., M.Si. (Rector), Dr. Anna Fitri Hindriana, M.Si. (Vice Chancellor I), Dr. Ilham Adhya, S.Hut., M.Si. (Vice Chancellor II), Dr. Haris Budiman, S.H., M.H. (Vice Chancellor IV), Dr. Lili Karmela Fitriani, M.Si. (Dean of FEB), Dr. Suwari Akhmaddian, M.H. (Dean of FH), Mr. Asep Jejen Jaelani, M.Pd. (Dean of FKIP), Mr. Tito Sugiharto, M.Eng. (Dean of FKOM), Mr. Asep Supriadi, S.Pd. (Rector’s secretary), and Mrs. Nita Ratnaningsih, M.Pd. (KUIKH staff).
The agendas of the event were opening, the playback of both Itenas and Uniku’s company profiles, welcoming remarks, MoU signing between the Rector of Itenas and the Rector of Uniku followed by the handing over plaques and souvenirs, the signing of each MoA between three deans (FTI, FTSP, FAD) of Itenas Bandung and the Dean of Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Uniku, and the event ended with the photo session.
The partnership between two parties regarding:

- – Assessment, research, and institutional development
- – Community services
- – Student and/or lecturer exchange
- – Joint seminars, workshops, training, journal management, and scientific papers publications
- – Developing the quality of academic staff
- – Student’s on-the-job training (internship etc.)
- – Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program implementation
- – Any other partnerships as agreed by both parties
For the information, Universitas Kuningan is under the auspice of Yayasan Pendidikan Sang Adipati Kuningan. The foundation was founded in 1979, and Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (STKIP) Kuningan was established at first in 1985. The foundation then established Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi (STIE) Kuningan in 1995, also Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kehutanan (STIKU) Kuningan dan Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Informatika and Komputer (STMIK) Kuningan at the same time in 2001.
Those four colleges were merged into Universitas Kuningan (Uniku) on June 17, 2003. Up until now, Uniku provides education programs from diploma to master and consists of five faculties (Faculty of Teaching and Education, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, Faculty of Computer Science, and Faculty of Law) as well as a Postgraduate School.
