Collaboration between Itenas, Puskesmas Neglasari, and RS Kartini in Talkshow and Health Screening Event for Integrated NCDs Awareness
Institut Teknologi Nasional Bandung collaborated with UPTD Puskesmas Neglasari and RS Kartini to organize a health screening event and talkshow on Wednesday (15/11/2023) at GSG Bale Dayang Sumbi Itenas. The event was held as part of the celebration of National Health Day and aimed to raise awareness about Integrated Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).
The event was attended by Mr. Abinhot Sihotang, S.T., M.T. (Vice Rector for Finance and General Affairs) along with several leaders from Itenas, Mr. Anhar Hadian, S.K.M., M.Tr.A.P. (Head of Bandung City Health Office), officials from Cibeunying Kaler Sub-District (Sub-district head, Police Chief, and Military Commander), as well as leaders and representatives of health professionals from UPTD Puskesmas Neglasari and RS Kartini Bandung.
In their speeches, both the Vice Rector for Finance and General Affairs of Itenas, the leaders of UPTD Puskesmas Neglasari and RS Kartini Bandung, and the Head of Bandung City Health Office expressed hope that health examination activities could attract more participants and have a greater impact in the future. They also expressed the desire for these activities to be consistent and regular.
The talk show, moderated by drg. Laksmi Dewi Arisanti (Head of UPTD Puskesmas Neglasari) and dr. Ni Kadek Ayu Pramulita, MMRS. (Director of RS Kartini Bandung), discussed the interconnection of mental/psychological issues with reproductive problems and drug abuse. The event invited speakers such as dr. Elvine Gunawan, Sp.KJ, and dr. Adrian A. Nanere, Sp.OG, as well as representatives from Yayasan Grafik, Yayasan FemalePlus, and Yayasan Srikandi Pasundan. The session was interactive with discussions and interesting questions from both the speakers and the students attending as participants.
Nearly 300 people, consisting of Itenas Bandung’s academic community, enthusiastically participated in the screening, which included anthropometric checks, laboratory tests, eye examinations (by Klinik Netra), and counseling services. The screening was divided into 3 sessions, continuing until 2:00 PM WIB.
