Farewell Ceremony of 61 Third Batch PMM Inbound Itenas Students
On Thursday (1/11/2024), Institut Teknologi Nasional Bandung officially bid farewell to 61 students participating in the Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka (PMM) program third batch. The farewell event was held in Gedung Fakultas Itenas and was attended by the internal board of leader of Itenas Bandung.
The Indonesian National Anthem “Indonesia Raya” and Hymne Itenas opened the event, followed by a speech from Prof. Meilinda Nurbanasari, Ph.D., the Rector of Itenas. She expressed gratitude for entrusting Itenas Bandung as the chosen university for participating in the PMM program. She also hoped that the participants would continue to maintain their friendship and networking even after leaving Itenas Bandung
Spending four months in a different region as part of the exchange program undoubtedly provided unique experiences and impressions for the participants. As expressed by representatives of the participants, Marina Ratnadilla (Universitas Mulawarman) and Sultan Hasibuan (STKIP Rokania), PMM 3 provided an opportunity to make diverse friends and learn about various subjects.
The participants were invited to reminisce about their arrival at Itenas Bandung and the activities they engaged in during the PMM 3 through a video presentation. In the video, they appeared enthusiastic and interested in activities related to the culture of Bandung City and the West Java province
Not only did the student participants share their thoughts, but impressions and messages were also conveyed by Mr. Bernardinus Herbudiman, S.T., M.T., one of the lecturers involved in the Modul Nusantara. He mentioned that by participating in the program, PMM 3 participants could become more mature in their social interactions, especially in multicultural and multiethnic environments.
There was also entertainment with a dance performance by Aulia Rizki Thaib from Khairun University. Before returning to their respective hometowns, the PMM 3 participants received final guidance from Mr. Tarsisius Kristyadi, Ph.D. (Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs). Finally, the event concluded with a prayer led by Mr. Moh. Abdul Basyid, Ir., M.T. (Head of Geodesy Engineering Study Program), followed by a group photo session.
The third batch of the Merdeka Student Exchange Program (PMM) included 59 students from various universities such as Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Indonesia (2 students), Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Manajemen Informatika dan Teknik Komputer Agamua Wamena (1 student), STKIP Rokania (1 student), Universitas Abulyatama (1 student), Universitas Balikpapan (2 students), Universitas Bina Bangsa Getsempena (3 students), Universitas Cokroaminoto Palopo (4 students), Universitas Halu Oleo (2 students), Universitas Hamzanwadi (3 students), Universitas Islam Riau (1 student), Universitas Khairun (5 students), Universitas Malikussaleh (4 students), Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu (1 student), Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (1 student), Universitas Mulawarman (1 student), Universitas Negeri Gorontalo (3 students), Universitas Negeri Manado (7 students), Universitas Negeri Medan (2 students), Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat (1 student), Universitas Potensi Utama (1 student), Universitas Prima Indonesia (2 students), Universitas Samudra (2 students), Universitas Satya Wiyata Mandala (2 students), Universitas Sriwijaya (1 student), Universitas Syiah Kuala (5 students), and Universitas Triatma Mulya (1 student). In addition to the 59 students participating in the program from the Ministry of Education and Culture, two students from Institut Teknologi Padang also joined the program through the independent program.
