Collaboration between Itenas and ITATS in Conducting National Competition
On Saturday (18/11/2023), the event “National CAD & Future Vehicle Design Competition” was held at GSG Bale Dayang Sumbi, Itenas. The competition was a manifestation of collaboration between Institut Teknologi Nasional Bandung and Institut Teknologi Adhi Tama Surabaya.
The event began with the screening of a company profile video to introduce each institute, followed by opening remarks. Both the remarks delivered by Itenas Bandung (represented by Mr. Liman Hartawan, S.T., M.T. – Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Faculty of Industrial Technology) and ITATS (represented by Mr. Ahmad Yusuf Ismail, Ph.D. – Head of Research and Community Service Institute and lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering program) expressed the hope that this national-scale competition would serve as a platform for participants to hone soft skills in the relevant field.
The event, organized by the academic community of the Mechanical Engineering program from both institutions, was attended by approximately 50 participants from various campuses in different cities across Indonesia. The competition included activities such as designing futuristic vehicle posters and Computer-Aided Design (CAD), held simultaneously in different rooms—a CAD competition in the Computer Laboratory of Building 21 and a poster design competition in GSG Bale Dayang Sumbi. Despite some technical challenges during the execution, the competition was successfully completed.
Below are the main winners of the “National CAD & Future Vehicle Design Competition” in each competition:
- CAD Competition
1st place: Muhamad Idrokul Fahmi from Universitas Sains Al-Qur’an
2nd place: Kadek Dharmayudha Aryaputra from President University
3rd place: Rahma Siti Khuraida from Politeknik Manufaktur Bandung
- Poster Design Competition
1st place: President University
2nd place: Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa
3rd place: Institut Teknologi Adhi Tama Surabaya
In addition to the main winners, participants also had the chance to win category awards. For example, in the CAD competition, there were winners in categories such as Geometry Precision, The Fastest, and The Most Efficient. Meanwhile, the poster design competition had categories like The Most Unique Idea, The Best Presenter, and The Most Aesthetic Design.
Through this activity, it is hoped that the collaboration between Itenas Bandung and ITATS will be further strengthened. Additionally, it is also expected to provide a platform for students to develop their potential in non-academic fields.
