The Rector of Itenas Became the Only Indonesian Speaker in the 27th Elets World Education Summit in Malaysia
On Tuesday (October 3, 2023), at The Everly Putrajaya, Malaysia, Prof. Meilinda Nurbanasari, Ph.D., the Rector of Institut Teknologi Nasional (Itenas) Bandung, had the honor of being one of the speakers at “The 27th Elets World Education Summit.” The Rector of Itenas Bandung was also the only Indonesian speaker invited to the conference organized by Elets Technomedia.
The Rector of Itenas, along with two other speakers, Dr. Chinmoy Sahu (Manipal GlobalNxt University Nilai, Malaysia), and Gupardeep Singh (Chief Operating Officer (COO) Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), discussed “Bridging Borders for Educational Excellence: International Research Partnerships, Technologies, and Data Security” in a panel discussion that lasted about 60 minutes. The discussion began with an introduction to International Research Partnerships (IRP), the basis for international collaboration, and the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of international collaboration.
The discussion also emphasized the importance of international collaboration in academic activities, adaptable facilities and technology, and the need to trace current technological trends for the future of higher education. Moreover, the Rector of Itenas provided real-life examples related to the implementation of international collaborations, including projects such as Safe Water Gardens and KIAT (Indonesia-Australia Partnership to Infrastructure). At the end of the panel, the Rector of Itenas Bandung, along with the other speakers, received certificates and mementos from the organizing committee, followed by a group photo session.
The “27th Elets World Education Summit” took place over two days (October 2 and 3, 2023) with Malaysia as the host country for this year’s edition. In addition to the conference, the event also featured award ceremonies and an exhibition for universities worldwide.
