Art Exhibition from Itenas Design Interior 2022 Cohort Students “Badagantari”
The students from the 2022 cohort of the Interior Design major at Institut Teknologi Itenas Bandung successfully organized an event titled “Badagantari,” which took place at the Yuliansyah Akbar Urbane Scape Gallery in Bandung. The three-day event (October 21 to October 23) provided them with an opportunity to showcase their works to the public.
The event began with speeches from the exhibition’s organizing committee chair, the head of the IMADjI Interior, Interior Design Program Chair Dr. Jamaludin, M.Sn., and the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design Dr. Andry Masri, M.Sn. The performance by the Dwiniskala group also added excitement to the opening of “Badagantari.”
In addition to the exhibition of students’ works, “Badagantari” also featured other activities that visitors could participate in. For example, on the first day (October 21), there was a sharing session on the theme of “Exploring Identity in Space” with Givan Rangga Mahardika, S.Ds., as the speaker. Meanwhile, on the second day (October 22), a workshop on making batik malam dingin (cold batik) by Luki Lutvia, M.Ds., and Titi Hayati R., M.Ds. was held with the necessary facilities provided.
The climax of the “Badagantari” event was the Prasodjo Award for Interior Design Itenas 2023, which served as an appreciation for outstanding and accomplished works by the academic community of the Interior Design major. Not only that, but there was also an appreciation for the event from Mrs. Atalia Praratya Kamil, who visited and did sightseeing the exhibited works.
